I had a decent stay at the Dai-Ichi Hotel Tokyo. The location is super convenient with easy access to Shimbashi Station and loads of nearby restaurants. While my room was spacious and overall well maintained, it felt a bit outdated for a premium hotel, and I did run into some inflexible service issues. However, it was a nice stop before heading out of Tokyo.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious, but definitely had a 90s vibe. The bathroom could have been fresher too.
Service
6.0
While the staff were friendly and professional, I found their inflexibility regarding room keys frustrating.
Location
9.0
The location was prime, just a quick walk to Shimbashi Station with great food options all around.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was okay, but there weren't enough cooked options available unless you went to the annex building.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had limited amenities; extra fees for the pool and gym felt a bit much.

I had a pretty good experience at Dai-Ichi Hotel Tokyo, with a wonderful location near Ginza and a spacious room that offered a nice view over the city. However, I found the check-in process frustrating as it was very strict about the 3 PM rule, leading to long waits. Overall, it was a solid option, but a few improvements could elevate the stay significantly. 😊

Rooms
7.0
I enjoyed my Superior Double Room, which was spacious and clean, with a comfy big bed. However, the decor felt a bit outdated. I did appreciate the high-quality amenities provided.
Service
8.0
The staff was friendly and helpful during my stay, but I did notice that the check-in process could be quite overwhelming due to the strict adherence to timing.
Location
9.0
The location was excellent, just a short walk to Ginza and very close to Shimbashi station, making it easy to explore Tokyo.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were somewhat limited and average, but the hotel's proximity to various restaurants in the area made up for that. I wish there were more cooked options available at breakfast.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent, with standard offerings like room service. I did feel the lobby was cramped and more seating would be beneficial, especially since check-in causes a crowd.

I had a wonderful stay at Dai-Ichi Hotel Tokyo, where the location was superb, just a couple of minutes from Shimbashi Station. The friendly and helpful staff made my experience even better. My room, however, felt a bit dated and was prone to noise from the nearby train tracks, which might bother some guests. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and appreciate the amenities available, especially the good breakfast options. 😊

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious for Tokyo standards but a bit dated in decor. I also loved the toiletries provided.

7.0/10

I recently stayed at Dai-Ichi Hotel Tokyo and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, I found the location very convenient, with easy access to various transportation options and nearby eateries. However, the rooms felt dated, and I experienced issues with the air conditioning that left me uncomfortable at times.

Rooms
6.0
The room decor was a bit outdated and felt small, but I appreciated the good shower pressure and the clean linens. I also liked having climate control that worked, though I found the room temperature challenging to manage.
Service
5.0
While some staff were helpful, I found the front desk service lacking. They were unhelpful during a few situations, and it took considerable back-and-forth to get satisfactory resolutions.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location near Shimbashi Station was fantastic, making it easy to explore Tokyo. I enjoyed the bustling neighborhood with many shops and restaurants nearby, though it felt a bit crowded at times.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options were less than ideal; I found it average, and it was frustrating that one restaurant wasn't open during breakfast hours. Having to go to a separate building for breakfast was inconvenient.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities offered were decent, including room service and dry cleaning, but I was surprised by the charge to use the gym. It felt excessive when compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at.
